GUA SHA massage
GUA SHA is a traditional, ancient Chinese healing technique. GUA – means to scrape in Chinese, SHA – means a red rash in Chinese. In the general translation GUA SHA is scraping the skin of the body up to its dullness.
GUA SHA improves blood and lymph circulation, and helps remove toxic compounds from the body. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, as well as relaxes tense muscles and joint pain. It can also help to improve the quality of sleep and improve physical and mental fitness.
This massage is done using special tools. They are various types of tiles made of animal horns (mutton, buffalo) or jade or jade. Before that, the body should be lubricated with special oils.
The therapeutic effect consists in the production of local heat during massage, which is manifested by the redness of the skin. Hot parts of the body are stimulated for intensive work and regeneration of diseased tissues.
After the treatment, do not immediately take a bath or use any ointments or cosmetics. It is not advisable to tan your body until redness is visible on the skin.
